Days 1-2: Fly to Johannesburg
Fly to Johannesburg. Arrive the next day and Overnight at Hotel. (N)
Day 3: Hazyview
Drive to Hazyview, via the Panorama Route, stopping for lunch in Dullstroom. Stay 3 nights at Hotel. (B)
Days 4-5: Hazyview
Days at leisure. We recommend a day inside the Kruger National Park, either on a self-drive or guided safari. Alternatively, choose from the many activities on offer in the local area, from Elephant Whispers Interaction and Chimpanzee Eden to Shangaan cultural visits.
Day 6: Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Park
Drive south into Swaziland. Stop en route at Ngwenya Glass Factory and Mantenga Cultural Village to see artisans at work, eat lunch (payable locally) and stroll to the Mantenga Falls (time permitting). Continue to Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Park and stay 2 nights at Lodge. (B, D)
Day 7: Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Park
Morning and afternoon wildlife drives. (B, L, D)
Day 8: Durban
Drive to Durban. En route stop at the St Lucia Estuary of the iSimangaliso Wetland Park for a morning cruise in search of hippos and crocodiles (optional). Continue on to Durban and stay overnight at Teremok Lodge. (B)
Day 9: Fly to Port Elizabeth • Knysna
Drop off your hire car and fly to Port Elizabeth. Pick up your next hire car and drive along the Garden Route to Knysna, via the Tzitzikamma forest and Storms river. Stay 3 nights at Hotel.
Days 10-11: Knysna
Days at leisure or take an optional excursion to the Featherbed Nature Reserve, the Elephant Sanctuary or Birds of Eden. (B)
Day 12: Oudtshoorn
Drive to Oudtshoorn. Overnight at De Zeekoe Guest Farm. Optional tour of a local ostrich farm (lunch included) and visit to the Cango Caves. (B)
Day 13: Franschhoek
Early morning optional meerkat adventure (from £40 per person). Drive to Franschhoek via Hermanus. Overnight at the Last Word Franschhoek. (B)
Day 14: Cape Town
Day at leisure in the Winelands. Drive to Cape Town in the evening for a 3-night stay at the Hotel. (B)
Days 15-16: Cape Town
Days at leisure or take optional excursions. (B)
Days 17-18: Fly home
Day at leisure. Evening drive to the airport. Early morning arrival the next day. (N)
