Itinerary-13 Days


Day 1: Fly direct to Hanoi

Day 2: Arrive Hanoi

Arrive into Hanoi and transfer to theHotel for 2 nights. The rest of the day is at leisure. Optional activities include an afternoon visit to a local artisan’s family to learn how to make traditional paper masks, and an evening tour to see a water puppets show. (N)

Day 3: Hanoi

Explore one of Hanoi’s vibrant morning markets with a chef from the EZ cooking class centre, select some fresh ingredients then head to the centre's kitchens to learn how to prepare traditional Vietnamese cuisine in a hands-on cooking class. Afternoon at leisure. (B, L)

Day 4-5: To Halong Bay

Morning drive to the harbour on Halong Bay, and board one of the Bhaya Legend’s fleet  for your tailor-made exploration of the bay and its islands. Discover fishing villages and limestone grottoes, kayak and swim in the bay, go squid fishing, try tai chi or just relax on board and enjoy the scenery. (B, L, D)

Day 6: To Hoi An

Leave the boat this morning and drive to Hanoi airport for a short flight to Danang on the Vietnamese coast. Transfer to Hoi An and stay at the Resort for 3 nights, a beachfront property with a range of facilities. (B)

Day 7-8: Hoi An

Spend your days in Hoi An exploring the ancient town centre, sampling fresh seafood or having your own tailor-made clothes prepared by the town’s famous tailors. Optional activities include a visit to a fishing village where you can paddle boats and learn to fish, or cycle out into the countryside to spend time with farming family and learn about local village life. Day 9: To Siem Reap, Cambodia

Morning at leisure. Afternoon transfer to the airport for an evening flight to Siem Reap in Cambodia. Transfer to the Hotel for 2 nights. (B)

Day 10: Siem Reap

Explore the Cambodian countryside, visiting isolated villages, authentic markets and some of the more remote temples of Angkor. Today there is the option to spend the night at the secluded Banteay Ampeul temple, where your Heritage Luxury Tent Camp* awaits. Here a spacious private tent has been set up for your family, furnished with fans, plush mattresses, pillows and linen, complete with separate bathroom facilities including a flush toilet and washbasin (available March-May only)*. Day 11: Siem Reap

Return to hotel in the late morning. The rest of day is at leisure, with the option to book a tour to explore the major Angkor Wat temples either by bike or with a car and driver. This evening a reservation has been made for your family at Phare Ponleu Selpak, a NGO that provides artistic training and educational programmes for local children. The show you will be watching is a circus performance, which aims to combine Cambodian folklore with modern-day issues, and focuses on the major disciplines of juggling, acrobatics and aerial acts. Overnight at the Hotel. (B)

Day 12: Fly to Ho Chi Minh City

Morning at leisure. Optional visit to the ‘Flight of the Gibbon’, the only zipline in Cambodia with the advantage of being located within the Unesco World Heritage site of the Angkor Archaeological Park. Late afternoon flight from Siem Reap to Ho Chi Minh City. (B)

Day 13: Fly back 

Early morning flight direct back home. Arrive same day. (N)
